how to filter a table visual by a column from another table?

hi all!

i have 2 tables:

 company table that  looks like this:

and locations around the work of said comapnies table:

they have a one to many relationship

now i was asked to make comapny table as a table visual and the location from locations table as a filter like this: 

but!! the filter is not working and the table isnt being filtered by the location 😞

adding the location filter as a filed to the table visual makes duplicates and i cant have that

is there a way to make this filter work?
