how to edit login

I am gettingthe following message "Microsoft SQL: Cannot open server "uhhospitals.org" requested by the login. The login failed.".

How do I find the place to edit the login information?

  • Hi BeaBF , you can edit the credentials by going to file ---> Options and Settings---> select the correct database and click on edit permission ---> click edit as shown in the below image :

  • lavblack Hi! In Power BI Desktop, SQL login credentials are not edited inside the model. Theyโ€™re stored as data source permissions. You can find them here:

Then click on "Data source settings". Select your connection and then "edit".

      • Authentication method (SQL / Windows / Azure AD)

      • Username & password

    5. If applicable, verify the Gateway mapping is correct

If this happens in Power BI Desktop:

    1. Go to File โ†’ Options and settings โ†’ Data source settings

    2. Select the SQL source โ†’ Edit Permissions
