I am new to PowerBI. I have created a PowerBI desktop report.
Its a progress status report.
The 1st example, most of the visuals are linked and when a visual item is selected, all update correctly to display the current selection.
Displays
Status Totals - Visual are Cards
Status breakdown - VIsual is a bar chart
By Issue - Visual is a Table
By Department - Visual is a Table
Action - Visual is a Table
The 2nd example, I added a slicer to see what it would look like. The slicer has the fields 1.Status 2. by Department 3.by the Issue and 4. Action. This is actually the information the business user wants to see.
In the slicer, when I select an item, how can I link it so all other visuals on the report update to reflect the selection? At the moment there are no 'links' and the reason the visuals either error or do not display.
I dont even know the terminology what that would be called, or function to ask you? for example is it a drill down?
Or, I am open to a better design suggestion if you have one.
TIA
