Can we restrict the visuals for particular user based on their roles?

  • Anonymous , one of the to way makes data blank is visual

so we can create measures that can check the same condition as the role and use in visual as a visual level filter(check not blank) to hide data

    Hi Anonymous ,

As far as I know, it is not supported in power bi desktop currently.

Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI can be used to restrict data access for given users instead of restricting visual viewing. Please refer: Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI

To hide some visuals, you can try to use bookmarks which stores the temporary status of a report page but it could not combine with RLS, refer: Create bookmarks in Power BI Desktop to share insights and build stories

You can create a new idea here or vote for  helping us improve power bi.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
