help with date tables and filtering

hi guys,

hope you can help x

i have multiple tables that have date time columns. i have a measure that counts how many values on the multiple tables combined.

i want to be able to have a visual with a filter that lets me select the date range which will change the total of the visual.

i have created a central date table and a one to many relationship.....however when i add the date filter from the central date table, the figures are wrong. its driving me insane

what am i doing wrong? xx
