heat map or similar for other countries than the US?

I have a dataset with some records, with ZipCodes…

How can I build a heat map? Is this feature only ailable for the US? I have seen one example for the US, but I wonder if I can do the same for another country (ie Sweden) and how?

No, this is not only available in the US.
How you build a heatmap depends on the vision you use. For example, you can use ArcGIS, custom visual heatmaps, etc.  Below are some tutorials and sample files for building heatmaps. You can refer and get more information.
