groups

Hello,   I want to create groups from following tabel. I need from column "Eqp.1(6)" the group name and then every number from "Eqp. 2.1" , "Eqp.2.2",... should be in this group. Is there a simple...

    Hi Dirk_Kuypers,

     

    You can achieve it in Power Query by unpivoting the columns then you can use them as groups.

     

    this is your table.

    | Eqp.1(6) | Eqp.2.1 | Eqp.2.2 | Eqp.2.3 |
    | -------- | ------- | ------- | ------- |
    | Group A  | 101     | 102     | 103     |
    | Group B  | 201     | 202     | null    |
    

     

    after unpivoting you'll have something like this 

     

    | Group Name | Equipment |
    | ---------- | --------- |
    | Group A    | 101       |
    | Group A    | 102       |
    | Group A    | 103       |
    | Group B    | 201       |
    | Group B    | 202       |
    

     

    And now you can use them as groups in matrix view
