Hi the powerbi team
i have some questions over install and use a data gateway
i have a sql server on a securised server , and i want install on it a gateway thrugh powerbiGatewayInstall.exe , but i have some error during installation it seems to be trouble over not opent port ( last error is over 127.0.0.1:45375 )
have you the list of port to open when we install a powerbi gateway
and my last question :
after creating the gateway, i can find it on my workspace on the powerbi portal. after creating dataset on this gateway and creating powerbi report. how share this powerbi report with other user, this report using this gateway .
Is the gateway and dataset automatically embedeed and install on the destination user when i share the report ?
or i need to do some operation to share the gateway ?
thanks a lot for your reply

Hi @Anonymous ,
First, you can follow the steps in this documentation to check if the gateway has access to all required ports, and the outbound port list which the gateway communicates on also can be found in it.
It seems that the data source used by your report is on-premises since you use a gateway. Have the corresponding data source was added to the gateway list ? Also , is the dataset setting OK ? If all the above are configured, you can directly share your report by clicking Share button if you are the user with PRO license . You can refer the following 2 documentations about the gateway configuration.

If you share a report with a user, you do not need to share the gateway, the gateway is just used to keep things up to date. If you want another user to be able to use a gateway for their own reports then you need to make sure that you installed the enterprise data gateway and not a personal gateway.
