functions names are not recognized
Hi. I've just started using PowerBI and am trying to create a Custom Column based on the value in another column.
The problem is that my functions names "are not recognized". See the example I tried in the formula bar that looks like this:
= Table.AddColumn(#"Removed Columns", "Name.1", each text.middle("hello world",6,5))
Even this creates an error "Expression.Error: The name 'text.contains' wasn't recognized. Make sure it's spelled correctly.".
Is it something wrong with my settings in PowerBI Desctop?
Hi,
M codes in power query are case sensitive.
Normaly first letter should be a capital letter.
ex. 'text.contains' is wrong it should be 'Text.Contains'
Thank you.
