Hi,
we are using a matrix visual as a gantt chart. we now got the requirement to add a total budget next to the dimensions/rows. Putting the budget into the values section does not work since the budget is then split by week. putting the budget into the rows only adds a layer in the drill down which is not the effekt we want to achieve, also aggregation doesn't work.
is there any way this can be pulled off? Basically we need only need the column total enabled but values inside the matrix itself.
any ideas?
thank you!
hi @Greg_Deckler , thank you for taking time looking into my issue. While your link is helpful in another issue I have, for my specific requirement it is not applicable. Using ISO calendar weeks in the chart the number of weeks differ from year to year. also the total column should appear next to the dimensions.
I did find another approach:
Creating a measure that calculates the total per dimensions and then creating a table that holds this measure and a key. to be honest, this was recommended by chatgpt and I didn't thought it would work but it does. also i deactivated stepped layout and put this measure into the rows section
@whereismydata It's hard to tell exactly what you want, but I think you want The New Hotness: The New Hotness (Custom Matrix Hierarchy) - Microsoft Fabric Community
