Hello. I wonder if it is possible to do something about this behaviour. The situation is following:
1. I have a simple table with values and dates like this
2. As a result I created a basic column chart with dates on X-axis and values on Y. Added a filter window with dates and a card that shows a result.
3. If I click on chart column, let's say May, and then in the filter I choose August, the result is the following:
Now the card shows (blank) because previously I clicked on May column. And I would like to see immediately the sum of values for August. In current scenario the card will show the value of August only if I click on the bar again. Any chance I can achieve such a result, that when I choose some date in the filter the value shown in the card reflects the value for chosen date in the filter even though I clicked on some specific bar previously?

Hi @bananagui ,
I think I understand what you need, which means we just need to control the filtering through a filter, and the filtering of the previous filters will not work, which is feasible, as in the test I did earlier.
Select our bar chart to sever the link between the bar chart and the card chart.
By following this method, you will be able to change the value of the card using only the date filter without considering whether the customer clicked on the bar chart or not, I am uploading my pbix file and hope it will help you to solve the problem.
Hope it helps!

mmmm...am i right, that you just proposed to click on the column of bar chart again? but I mentioned exactly the same way here "In current scenario the card will show the value of August only if I click on the bar again." and I am not satisfied about that, because this approach doesn't look user-friendly....I want user just to select the required date in the filter to see the result for chosen month on the card without bothering to think if he clicked on the bar chart previously..in other words when he chooses the date in the filter all previous date filters have to be abandoned and this new filter should be applied...i wonder if it is even doable or not..

Hi @bananagui ,
For this question of yours, I think you mean that after selecting the column line, you still want to use the filter to affect the value of the card,
and the card value can be independent of the selected column line, then we can do the following:
This is the problem you are experiencing:
Select our bar chart to sever the link between the bar chart and the card chart.
In this case, we can change the date of the card based on the date change of the filter,
which can be done directly through the date slicer without having to go through the selection of the column line again.
Hope it helps!
