filter datasets for column

Hello dear Community,

i'm looking for a way to display datasets only if their names are listed in specific columns. Let's say John S. is the Responsible of IT, then he only can list those datasets where he's listed in the column Responsible of IT. I don't want to use roles, since i have to manage every single Person with his role.

Thank you!

Hi @Anonymous

Based on my research, it seems there is no better way to do that. For your requirement, you may submit an idea here.

Well i found something useful from this article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls.

Right now im trying to build a email adress to compare, but since [Responsible of IT] = username() is giving back the UPN in Power BI Service i have two options.

1. to build an email adress from the full name llike John.Wayne@outlook.com

2. Or to filter the name from the email which username() gives me back

Anyone got an idea how i could solve that?

Well i did a workaround with building an emailadress from the Responsible name in an extra column with the help of DAX. Thank's to everyone for helping out.

Hi @Anonymous

Here are some articles for your reference.
