filter column chart by distinct count if other column

Hi there,

I'm new here and have tried to look through the forums and discussions to figure the below out, but I suspect I am missing a very simple solution.  Hoping someon can help or direct me.

I'm trying to filter my column chart that is a distinct count of vendors by month by another value (column) in my data set that is distinct count of purchase orders.

I want to filter the whole chart to only distinct count vendor codes that has more than 8 orders in a month. The visual level filter does not filter by month.

I don't think I can share the data I'm working with, unfortunately. I was hoping the snip of the data and visualization I'm wanting to filter would be enough for a solution or function?
