Hi All,
Thanks for your time, I have this scenario ...so far nothing is working
1).Was reading the data from an excel file and the excel file .xlsx is in share point..using the get date > web option
2).There was only 1 sheet in it
3).recently someone added another sheet but we dont use that sheet so i have never updated the power bi as i dont use that sheet
this sheet is being used by someone for other reasons
4).when i try get data > web ...put the direct url to the file in share point i get this error ..file contains corrupted data
for testing purpose i tried loading the data as get data > excel file > i navigated to the same share point locationt that i mapped as network drive... this time i dont get the error
when i go the edit queries > source i see 3 tables - i have one with the
name _xlnm._Fitlerdatabase
Data as table
item as DataFile!_xlnm.Filterdatabase
Kind as DefinedName
Hidden as True
so there is a 3rd sheet which is hidden - looks like this also has the name as my original sheet that i use to load
Hi @Raj007 ,
According to my research, this issue can be caused by multiple reasons, you can have a check:
Core excel > 30MB
Excel has password
Permission issue
Corrupted model
Wrong type, error format, value issue, etc.
If you still have a problem, you can try these steps to find if they can be useful:
First, make sure the PBI desktop is the latest version.
Then please delete the data source (File -> Options and Settings -> Data Source Settings) and reconnect to see if it works.
Please make sure all permission and credentials are correct.
