fields aren't being summarized

I have a model where the fields aren't being summarized, when in fields tools the summarize is activated. Also I can't add text fields to visuals like first or last.

The sigma appears at the left of the field in the model, but not in the reportmodel1.JPGmodel2.JPG

Do you have the latest version of Power BI desktop? In any case, it is good practice to not use implicit measures (those summarizations), but to create explicit measures instead. FYI that you can also use MIN and MAX on text columns too.
