export underlying data setting resets on publish

in the power bi service I have enabled the export of underlying data and locked the filters and other settings but when I publish an update from power bi desktop all the settings I changed get undone.

Is there somewhere I need to set these in power bi desktop before publishing or do I need to lock them in some way in the service?

Hi! Change it in Power Bi desktop options for that file:

That will replace the options in the service. That way it won't replace settings anymore. You can handle it in Desktop.

Hope this helps.
