expand collapse for column matrix

Hi,

 We have a requirement to display the matrix with Column headers ( has drilldown Year -- Quarter -- Month).

 I am not seeing + / - buttons for column headers. 

 Is it possible ?

I don't think so. The fields can be expanded only when there is a hierarchy in the data. The hierarchy between columns does not exist and only exists between rows.

But you can try to drill on the columns.

You mean, that we can't achieve this functionality of Expand / Collapse using Matrix for Column headers ?

If there is a hierarchy created for Columns, then we can use + / - for expand and collapse ?

Yes, you need a hierarchy to exist in the data to be able to expand/collapse in the way you want.

 We can't achieve this functionality of Expand / Collapse using Matrix for Column headers for the time being.

not sure I understand completely what do you mean, but I know the only +/- option in built-in matrix visual that expands rows

I need to provide user an option to expand and collapse for columns.

So searching +/- buttons as we have the option for Row Headers
