Could be a number of reasons. Most common being the field used by the card visual is no longer in the dataset after refresh, or it changed the name. Just update the field in the card visual with the field from the table again.
If that's not the case, and the card visual has a measure, it could be that the measure itself is failing in the calculation due to changes to the fields being used. Follow the error by following the fields associated to that card visual and figure out what went wrong after the refresh.
