Hi @Syndicate_Admin

When using a dataset from Excel in Power BI on the web, if you find yourself having to log out and log back in every time you shut down your computer, which can be quite annoying, here are some possible reasons and solutions:

Browser Cache and Cookies Issues:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.

  • Try logging into Power BI using a different browser or in incognito/private mode.

Login Credentials Not Being Saved:

  • Ensure that the option to stay logged in or similar is selected when you log in.
  • Check your browser settings to ensure it allows saving login information.

Browser or Security Software Settings:

  • Check if any security software or browser extensions are preventing Power BI from staying logged in.

Organizational Security Policies:

  • Some organizations might have security policies requiring regular re-authentication. Contact your IT department to confirm if such policies exist.

Using Power BI Desktop:

  • If the problem persists, consider using the Power BI Desktop application instead of the web version. Power BI Desktop offers a more stable connection, especially for regularly used datasets.
