encryption for data transit

is it possible to encrypt data in transit in power bi?

  • Yes, it is possible to encrypt data in transit in Power BI. Power BI uses HTTPS to encrypt data in transit between the Power BI service and data sources, as well as between the Power BI service and clients. This ensures that data is securely transmitted over the network.

  • Hi

Yes, Power BI ensures that all data in transit is encrypted to maintain security and compliance.

Power BI mandates the use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 or higher for all incoming HTTP traffic. Any attempts to connect using older protocols like TLS 1.1 are rejected, ensuring that data transmitted between clients, data sources, and the Power BI service is protected against interception and tampering.
