drill throught as filter not user friendly

Hey, i use drill through as filtering detailed data for the contract in the table, so in the table there is all contracts which client has, and when he wants to see detailed data he has to go drill through - but i have 5 different tables with different data (columns) and i want to ask if there is no better option, like i click on number of contract and it show me the detailed data from drill through filtering?

So i have data like:

Then i click with the right mouse clicker and choose drill through:

and after this it shows the data if exist. but it is not quite simple for user, because he has to click exact table where are data... There is no other option like click on the contract and it will show me detailed data if exist? and it will be better user experience like now - drill through. Thanks

Hi @PatrikK123
currently, the drill-through function doesn’t support your specific requirement. As a workaround, you can add a column in the source visual to display the related type, allowing users to easily navigate to the appropriate page. Additionally, we recommend submitting your suggestion on this page. If it receives enough support from other users, the product team may consider including it in a future update.

I understand that managing 5 drill-through tables can be challenging. In your scenario, switching to a button may not be a better alternative, as buttons can only be assigned to one drill-through page. The user would still need to select a row and click the button to drill through to the assigned page.

The process would work as follows:

  1. From the main table, the user selects a row and clicks the drill-through button to navigate to the first drill-through page.
  2. If further data is available, the user repeats this process for subsequent drill-throughs.

However, navigating back from multiple drill-throughs may require clicking the back button multiple times, which could impact user experience.

Hi @PatrikK123,

Currently, there isn't a way to meet your requirement for the drill-through function.

We suggest adding a column to display the related type in the source visual. This way, users can easily choose which page to navigate to.

You could also submit your ideal at this page.  If this feature was mentioned by many users, product team will consider to add this feature to next release.

Best regards,

Joyce
