If it doesn't then I think you need a separate date table which will give you more control.

Do you want to share a demo pbix file and I'll send a working example back.
I normally have a column with a start of month date in it for each date and format that as month year. Order is then taken care of.

Sorry but i have joined a new organistion so i don't have access to the file . Thank you-i am sure i was misinterpreting something
Have you tried to see if it works? I would expect year/month to pass through a set of dates for that period.

Thanks but I used the Year Month in the graph. If I dont use the date field and use a custom built 'year month' the date order on the graoh (x axis) would go astray...
