divide using column vs measure

hi, sorry if you dont mind i ask a very basic question as a newbie here.

Recently, i wanted create a column where A/B

However, I realized that when i use custom calculated column to create the column that apply this formula, my number is not right when i double check it with my excel file.

Then i changed to create measure instead and use

New measure=
DIVIDE(
    SUM('SFDC'[Amount]),
    SUM('SFDC'[FX Rate ])
)

May i know why two different method here give me a different result, and both result are wrong when i compared to my excel file?
Is the Sum formula used correct? the amount and FX rate is column. I used SUM formula so that i could do the division.

Hi,

Can you share your sample pbix file (or your excel file) with the expected result of how you want to see the outcome?
