displaying only the highest values
I have data where many entries are very similar but vary between one text field and a numerical field. Is there a way to only show the higest numerical field from each category?
data:
main category is the flower type
| rose | flower | bulb | 3 |
| rose | flower | leaf | 5 |
| tulip | flower | bulb | 6 |
| tulip | flower | stem | 4 |
| iris | flower | bulb | 2 |
| iris | flower | leaf | 3 |
| iris | flower | stem | 1 |
expected output:
| rose | flower | leaf | 5 |
| tulip | flower | bulb | 6 |
| iris | flower | leaf | 3 |

Hi Anonymous ,
I created a sample pbix file(see attachment) for you, please check whether that is what you want. You can create a measure as below and apply a visual-level filter on the visual with the condition(Flag is 1 ) :
Flag = VAR _tabs = SUMMARIZE ( 'Table', 'Table'[flower type], "@maxqty", CALCULATE ( MAX ( 'Table'[qty] ), ALLEXCEPT ( 'Table', 'Table'[category], 'Table'[flower type] ) ) ) RETURN IF ( SUM ( 'Table'[qty] ) = MAXX ( _tabs, [@maxqty] ), 1, 0 )If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide more sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

So in my head the solution would be structured like if the flower (rose) is the same then display the entry with the higest numeric value (5). But I don't know how to do that.
