disable update notifications

I'm trying to disable all Update Notifications in Power BI Desktop. There appears to be 2 notifications. Hopefully there are not more because I need to keep everyone on the same version and I have so...

    Hi jmoody76,

    This is what i use in production. With latest version of Power BI this issue""UPDATE AVAILABLE (CLICK TO DOWNLOAD)" is fixed.

    msiexec /i "PBIDesktop_x64.msi" /qn /norestart ACCEPT_EULA=1 DISABLE_UPDATE_NOTIFICATION=1


    As mentioned in the last reply of rsrajeev in this similar thread, with latest version of Power BI this issue""UPDATE AVAILABLE (CLICK TO DOWNLOAD)" is fixed. Could you go to check if it is the case in your scenario. :smileyhappy:

Hi jmoody76,

 

Currently, the latest version of Power BI Desktop is 2.47.4766.801 64-bit (June 2017).

 

Base on my understanding, if you use the following script to install this version of Power BI Desktop, then both notifications will be disabled. jmoody76, could you help to confirm this? :smileyhappy:

msiexec /i "PBIDesktop_x64.msi" /qn /norestart ACCEPT_EULA=1 DISABLE_UPDATE_NOTIFICATION=1

2.47.4766.801 fixed the issue for me so now all update notifications are gone. Thanks.
