I am designing a dashboard for other people to use. They can install Power BI and when I send them pbix document they can open and see the dashboard. However I do not want them to be able to open Query Editor, because the data source might have sensitive data that I don't want them to be able to see.
So is it possible to disable query editor?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Not to my knowledge, sounds like you need to publish it to the Service and use Row Level Security (RLS)
Thanks smoupre. I guess I have to modify the data source to hide the confidential data then.
Just incase this is relevant. The data source credentials are not stored in the file. So while they can see the raw data that has been cached, they can't access the tables in the data source itself and look up additional things.
