default catalog

Does any1 know how to get the default catalog of databricks to connect to power bi. I can get the server host name and http path but whenever I put the current catalog, it throws a key error. Without it, I can't write custom sql queries.

Hi @smpa01 - Azure Databricks doesn't use a catalog by default, or the catalog might be named differently. Try leaving the "Default catalog" field blank and only specifying the "Database" field, or try setting the catalog to hive_metastore if that’s the default catalog in your Databricks environment. the error may be due to how the Databricks Unity Catalog or your database structure is set up.

Connect Power BI to Azure Databricks - Azure Databricks | Microsoft Learn

Connect Power BI to Databricks | Databricks on AWS

Hope the above documents helps
