dataset refresh vs update app

New to the app space but if I set the dataset to refresh daily, does that mean the report that references the dataset which is within a published app will refresh too?

Do I need to update the app manually?

Do I need to refresh the report?

@mattthew Any reports using the dataset will refresh automatically after the data set is refreshed. You will not have to manually refresh the report or the app.

An exception would be if you have a report open in the Power BI Service when the dataset is refreshed. In this case, you can click the black "refresh" button in the top middle area of the report to pull-in the updated data.

If you make a change to report in a workspace though (say adding a new chart), then you will have to update the App to ensure it contains the updated version of the report.
