data type (13'0863 ) = decimal , how to change it to 13.0863 keeping the same data type ?

this is my first query so ..

13.0863 I am getting this in text data type and the moment I try to convert it into decimal data type it change into comma separated values . now how do I keep it point separated decimal type as its price so need a number data type , I tried alot but couldn't find any solution I don't know what I am doing wrong.

would someone please mind helping me solve this issue?

Hi @M-Farheen ,

 

Based on the information you provided, I did a simple test to reproduce your problem.
You might try unclicking the commas in the formatting section so that it is not comma separated and see if that helps.

 I think I need to be more clear about my question,

the ss above is a picture that shows productcost , the first value is 13.90 (i.e. 13 dollar & 90 cents ) but for some reason the value in my query are showing up in 13'90 (separated by { ' } instead of { . } ), 

I want it in the form 13.90 and data type as decimal. 

I did try your solution but it seems like it did not work for me. I dont know what should I do , the queries on chatgpt also didn't work , while I did try to build a new table as a sample to show you all the values they were also { ' } separated.

I would like to apologize for the belated reply.
I tried to reproduce your problem, and when I changed the decimal symbol as shown in the figure below, the data format was displayed as 13.86.
