how to ditribute data model creation task in power bi among 3 developers? data model would be based on 15 dimensions and two fact tables. I am confused whether one person should do data model or all three? if i give work to one person then what 2 person will do?

You can have only 1 dev to do all the work, that's the most common dev type, but in your case you have 3 available devs. My idea is to use at least 2 dev to make the best data model possible. People tend to under evaluate the importance of a good data model. Having a co-dev for the data model, for a me a good approach in your case.

If your question is regarding timings, you have a séquentiel order.  First, conceptual model design to be done by 2/3 modelers (outside pbi) , second, the creation of the model by 1 développer, third testing/enhacements/documention by à second dev when the work of dev 1 is complète.

How ? You have different options : Shared pbix or pbip between dev or using Tabular Editor connected to xmla.

my recommendation would be to have the 3 developers work together to frame the conceptual model and best practices to put in place to answer the reporting needs (harvest collective intelligence). 1 will build the model, another will be in charge of testing, ajustments (referential integrity, Power Query modif etc) and documentantation, the third person can start working on the visual reporting or if you have specific developpers for the front end, ensure the tight connection to that person.

Hi @Alex87 , how 2 person work on same data model as you meantioned 1 will build the data model and another will be charge of testing , as per my understanding both shuld be done by only 1 person
