data connection to excel workbook on prem SharePoint Library

Hi,

 

I was try to connect to a excel document saved on the a SharePoint Library and i dont get to see it working. I tried Get Data as Excel, File, web, SharePoint list  and OData Feed. However, i dont see it gets connected to excel on SP library. I am doing anything wrong or is this feature not available. If so, is there a work around.

    Sabarikumar7579 If I am not wrong, we can only connect to Excel files stored on One Drive (personal/business) and on local machine/desktop/computer and refresh using Data Management Gateway.

      Thanks for your response.

       

      Yes, i am able to connect to Excel sheet on local Machine and Refresh. However, my current requirement is Data will be made available in a SharePoint. So checking on possiblity of any work arrounds.

        I don't have a sharepoint on prem but you can try use PBI desktop to connect to sharepoint stored excel & then upload it..Not sure if you can schedule a refresh..
