Hello, I created a simple test database in order to connect my PowerBI to it. However, i am having issues.
Database info:
Server: db4free.net port is 3306
database name: woodinvillecrime
username: woodinvilleuser
pssword: crimesucks
1. I click on Get Data
2. on the server field I fill in db4free.net
3. on the next page I plug on the username and password. I then get the "we could not authenticate with the credentials provided" message. what am i doing wrong here ?
I am certain that user id and password are correct. I am able to log in to the db4free.net website and few MySQL data.
Can you please tell me what am I missing?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You should install the MySQl connector for Power BI before attempting to connect. You can find more information here.
You can download the lastest Connector/Net data prvider for Mysql from the official MySql website at https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/
This is the SQL website platform if this helps.
Thanks,
