connecting 2 dimensions

In my model, I am trying to join Users table with UsersExpertise table.

 

Combining all the data into Users table would take too much time… (I have several rows of UsersExpertise for each row of Users, which is why I am trying to connect dimensions. And each User has different set of Expertises)

 

Can I avoid the PowerBI recommendation of using Starschema and connect my fact to Users and then Users to UsersDetails ??

    Hi Anonymous 

     

    Confused.  How many tables have you got?  

     

    Users

    UsersExpertise

    UsersDetails

    Fact

     

    ?

     

    Can you connect fact to Users and then Users to UsersDetails?  Maybe, probably.  hard to say for sure without seeing the tables and data and understanding if that would meet your needs.
