connect power bi to sql server 2012

hello , please when i try to connect power bi desktop with my cube i had an error ask me to use another version or sql server 2012 sp1 cu4 but please could you explain me why and how to download sql server 2012 sp1 cu4 i try it but still doesn't work do you do khnow a vailable web site

What is the error message?

If current version for SQL Server is 2012, you can update it to SQL 2012 SP1 CU4 via downloading relative package from below links:

Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Cumulative update package 4 for SQL Server 2012 SP1

i install the package but it works only if i connect the cube by choosing import data not the direct connection

Hi @asmagh,

Do you need to connect to SSAS cube from Power BI? Please check whether you can successfully live connect to SSAS on Power BI service. Besides, update your desktop to latest version for a try.
