concatenate a filtered column
Hello, I have two tables that aren't linked. How can I concatenate a filtered column from each table to create a new table with a column containing the result. e.g., k30307599999
Thanks, Stefan
Hi stefantaust ,
The filter context that you are giving in the report page can't transfer to table view where you create a new table. What you can do is create a measure that concatenate these two fields together and returns the value for example:
SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Name]) & SELECTEDVALUE(Parameter[Parameter])Giving the following output:

Hi stefantaust - create a new table with a combined result like K30307599999
ConcatenatedMatCode =SELECTCOLUMNS (CROSSJOIN (VALUES(tab1[MatCodePrefix]),VALUES(tab2[MatNumberSuffix])),"FullMatCode", tab1[MatCodePrefix] & tab2[MatNumberSuffix])Hope the above logic helps. - Demert
