comparing weekly data Bar chart with confident level and Qtr view

Hi all,

I wish to compare Previous Wk data vs Current Wk , and place the compare date side by side, follow by Qtr.

Hope could get some advise if powerbi is able to achieve the desireable result on the top illustration.  Currently I am only able to achieve the current result and when I try to swap the SnapDate and Qtr on the X-axis the two comparing date does not show.... Hope to get some advise how to make it work or it is not possible? Thanks in advance.

Hi, @valWork

You can use a stacked bar chart to compare your weekly data. This will allow you to place the previous week and current week data side by side for direct comparison.

Make sure that the data model has a Week column that can distinguish between the Previous Week and the Current Week. In addition, there is a "Quarter" column to break down the data further. If calculated columns or measures don't already exist in your dataset, you might need to create them.

On the X-axis, you should place a "quarter" field to split the data by quarter. Then, use the Legend field to distinguish between Last Week and This Week. This setting will allow you to view data for each quarter side by side.

To add more context to your data points, consider using tooltips. You can add additional measures or information to provide insights when the user hovers over the bars in the chart. Here is the document about tooltip:

Hi @v-yohua-msft ,

Thanks for the tips. I shall try to see how to go about it.

Currently my stack chart already been stacked with level of confident of the sales able to commit, and as sales comparison are based on user selected values of two or more dates . My DAX currently use the latest date as the based date and against others selected date value, my brain still a bit stuck how to go about structuring the data or create more Dax.

cheers, Val
