combine stacked and clustered chart without using 3rd party visuals?

Hi,

We are attempting to display a combined stacked and clustered column chart, like this:

The chart shows (in legend order) heat consumption for the current year inside and outside working hours, and average heat consumption for the two previous years inside and outside working hours. Obviously we would like to stack value pairs that belong together, and group together stacks based on year/month.

We are not interested in using 3rd party visuals, as our experience with these have been very mixed. The best suggestion so far is this DIY approach by Ville Gullstrand:

Do you know any alternative ways to achieve what we have described above? (Please no 3rd party visual recommendations)

Hi @h4tt3n ,

Except the custom visuals, there's currently no stacked and clustered chart in Power BI Desktop.

Maybe you could refer to the video to achieve, or vote for this idea.
