columns in Matrix not sorting by Date

I cannot get the columns to sort properly by date.  Data is set to Date Format.  The sorting shows correctly in the calendar table.  However in the Report view, it sorts the month-Year alphabetically -

    Hi Davedd 
    You need to modify the sort of your month-year column by date from the data table.
    Please refer attached picture:
