Ive only been working in Power Bi for a day or so and im sure this is something silly i have selected somewhere but can anyone tell me why when i select a month (april) on one graph the cross filter looks one way but when i select a different month (may) the cross filter looks different (the bar narrows)
im struggling with the vocabulary to search for this effect, ive found a few images that show it but cannot seem to find the right words - anything that can point me in the right direction greatly appreciated.

Hi @DHumpage ,
It seems to be a temporary problem, what version of Power BI Desktop do you have? The version I tested is 2.95.983.0 64-bit (July 2021). Are your colleagues experiencing similar problems? If you encounter the problem again next time, you can post a new thread...
Best Regards
Rena,
unfortuantely i have no record of the settings as i deleted the clustered column chart in question, the data hasnt changed as it is test data i was using and the issue hasnt re-occured. the only record i have of it now are the photo's in my original post.

I had some issues yesterday with a file one of my colleagues shared with me and i found out then that they are running may 2021 version but mine is Version: 2.85.985.0 64-bit (September 2020) despite my IT department only installing it 2 weeks ago so now im pushing for them to update it......
@DHumpage , I think you are talking about visual interactions. See if these can help you
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/service-reports-visual-interactions
How Interactions Work- Split Page using interactions to compare: https://youtu.be/GIfRKzhMaR4
Im workign through them - they havent helped so far however i have deleted the graph and remade it and now it behaves the same for every month... oddly frustrating
Hi @DHumpage ,
Sorry that I can't reproduce your problem. Did you get the problem again later? Could you please provide some sample data (excluding sensitive data) and your visual settings in order to make troubleshooting? By the way, did you use the stacked column chart? Thank you.
Best Regards
