Hi All,
I ran into an issue which is when I refresh data from an excel file, the data truned from percentage to decimal number, this not the issue I have, the issue is that I have a lot of data and when i go to edit query I can select all columns at one time see below:
, and then I can change datatype to percentage, but when i go back to visuals I found not change in the visuls data.
However, when I go to data table which is located at left hand of pbi interface, Please see below snapshots:
i can then change the datatype to percentage, but the issuse is one at a time. How can I select all data or all columns at one time in this area and change the datatpe for all, or how to get edit query effective when I change datatype from there.
if there is a measure I can use to solve this issue please help 🙂
I wish that you get me 🙂
kind Regards

Hello, @tmhazzazi11
Because in the data model of power bi, the percentage data type is not supported, it belongs to the formatting of the number type, so even if it is changed in the PQ, the effect is not visible.
You can unpivot your data then change the type in desktop, or use the shortcut key ‘CTRL+A’ to select all columns, and then change all data types at once.

You should be able to select all your columns in the query editor and convert them to percentage. In any case, your columns look similar. Have you considered unpivoting your data to make your analysis and visualization easier.
