cannot install powerbi desktop

I cannot install PowerBI Desktop x64.  I have Office 2016 x64 installed.  I'm downloading PowerBI Desktop from app.powerbi.com.  When I try to install PBIDesktop_x64.msi I get this error message - 

 

This installation could not be opened.  Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

 

Any ideas?

    Hi sparks9,

     

    Could you try uninstalling the Power BI Desktop from control panel first, then downloading and installing the latest version of Power BI Desktop from this link to see if it works?

     

    If it still doesn't work, I would suggest you try the X86 version to see it if works. :smileyhappy:
