can i also drill thru from one report to another in the desktop

hi, in my course i saw how drill thru to ANOTHER report can be set up in the service.  can i train pbi earlier in the desktop to do the same thing, ie not wait for publication to the service?

Yes,you can set up drill-through to another report in Power BI Desktop.. Setting up a target page for cross-report drillthrough is similar to setting up drillthrough within a report. Enabling drillthrough on the target page allows other visuals to target the page for drillthrough. To create drillthrough within a single report, see Use drillthrough in Power BI Desktop.

Cross-report drillthrough doesn't work in Power BI reports in Power BI Report Server.
