Good Morning
I need to calculate the average of a measure that can then be used in a line chart.
My table of values is as follows:
| Year | Month | Total |
| 2022 | January | 1256 |
| 2022 | February | 848 |
| 2022 | March | 1021 |
| 2022 | April | 727 |
| 2022 | May | 954 |
| 2022 | June | 1055 |
| 2022 | July | 1134 |
| 2022 | August | 1708 |
| 2022 | September | 1800 |
| 2022 | October | 748 |
| 2022 | November | 781 |
| 2022 | December | 429 |
| 2023 | January | 1203 |
| 2023 | February | 852 |
| 2023 | March | 966 |
| 2023 | April | 580 |
| 2023 | May | 761 |
| 2023 | June | 318 |
I want to get the average of the total which should be 952. Total is a measure that is calculated using distinct count of person number.
Thank you
The issue i am having is that the total is a count of person ref number, an example of which is 12234, so when i do average of person ref number it is not giving me the 952 i am expecting it is giving me over 3000.
Thank you i have already tried that and it doesnt let me select the measure Total
Hello @Anonymous ,
oh this total is a measure in a visual, then you need to reference the main column that is in your dataset.

Hello @Anonymous,
You could use this measure
Average Total = AVERAGE(TableName[Total])
