bubble chart
Hello careisin,
Dot Plot by MAQ Software supports categorical values on Axis category I and Axis category II.
Please refer the below screenshots:
This is the vertical orientation of the visual -
This is the horizontal orientation of the visual -
The orientations are configurable from the format pane.
In the above example, categorical values have been inserted in Axis category I and Axis category II. Value field is used for the other axis. Bubble size is based on the numeric column inserted in 'Bubble size' field.
'Value' field is optional. As per your use case, you can skip inserting column in 'Value' field.

Thanks.
Hi, I'm looking for several years a categorical X and Y bubble chart.
I've downladed and experimented with the solution proposed by Dot Plot by MAQ Software
I think it cannot be marked as solution to this topic since one of two axes seems to remain always numeric and do not represent Y category
Axix Category II is represented allways on the same axis (or on opposite side) , but never on Y axis.
Orientation does not solve the issue.
I would like to stress the importance o such king of graphic since it would help in finding relationships beewten dimensions otherwise difficult to discover.
May be that with R (I do not know this language) it would be possible to obtain a chart like those show in topic question?
