big power bi file

Hello everyone,

I'd love to hear your opinion about this:
My file is already 15GB. I have a file to my queries, All Data, and many power bi files with all the reports/visuals from that dataset.
My company has 8 types of sales data and 7 for costs data. Besides this, i have around 10 more dimension tables that are connected to some of them.
Because i want the detail of each, i also want a resume so i can compare each one, sales and costs. In order to have a costs and sales table, i had to make another 3 tables. You now get the idea of the total queries i might have, and of course, the amount of time to refresh all this. Another issue is that when i'm working with All Data file, i can't have any other software or browser open cose i "only" have 16 GB ram.
I would love to hear your opinion about this, any solution that could speed my refresh, or to have a smaller file, any solution at all, cose the data is keep on growing and i can't add anymore queries because after each comand on power query it takes forever.
Any ideas?
Thank you so much all of you
Best regards

Pedro

What is the storage mode on those queries?

You might want to change whatever you can to DirectQuery to get a less-bigger file. None the less this thing is insane. Maybe an option to filter out after certain dates? Or aggregate the values to total day sales?

    Goodluck

I think the only way is to get lesser data to power bi, unfortunatly. Direct query it's not a solution for me and nor agregate.

      But thank you so much

      Best regards
