If you're looking for more flexibility and features. Unlike the standard matrix, Inforiver allows you to display measures within rows or columns, offering a more customizable layout for complex data comparisons.

sanjanarama , are you indicating that you are not interested in visualizing your data as a Pivot, which is the nature of a Matrix Visual? What would you do differently, and what would you like to see?

Can use graphomate matrix which you can download from the get more visuals which allows you to perform cell level calculations(CLF) formating rather than simply showing the data only as it is

One more option worth knowing: Flexa Tables on AppSource (search "Flexa Tables", Microsoft-certified, free trial available).
The main thing it adds over the native Matrix: after publishing, end users can drag fields to restructure the table, add variance columns, and switch comparison periods themselves, without going back to Desktop. The native Matrix locks layout at publish time.
Lightweight setup, plugs into existing reports without changing your data model or DAX.
