is there a way to open a report developed in version 2.62.5222.761 64-bit (september 2018), in desktop version  2.51.4885.2501 64-bit (oktober 2017)? The last one, we use for our on prem environment.

Hi @jvandyck,

I don't think it is possible.

I'm not so sure the old one can compatible with newest reports, there are too many difference between newest one and on-premise one.

Why not download newest version and replace old one?

Xiaoxin Sheng

Hi, @jvandyck !

I know that my question may be strange, however, I need Power BI Desktop Optimized for Report Server version October 2017. Maybe You still have the installation, as I have searched a lot of forums and my hope is only if someone still has this version.

If you have this version and can share with me, I will be really grateful!
