ammartino44 I don't quite know what you mean, but here is what I can tell you.
There are two parts of Power BI - the Desktop (free download) and the Service (The Service is an Azure Software as a Service offering)
The Desktop allows you to consume, transform and model data, and build reports
The Service lets you connect to data sets, build reports, and Share
The major component of the Service is "Sharing" via Dashboard or Content Packs.
The other meaning could relate to using Azure data sources in Power BI. Azure SQL DB, Warehouse, Analysis Services or other Azure services like Stream Analytics. Power BI can be utilized or connect to any of these sources and more.
