avoid summing over entries in bar chart

Hey, I would like to compare premiums of two different tables in a bar chart, grouped by year.

in the one table, there are several entries per year (with different id numbers), so they are aggregated (by sum, maximum, minimum...).

However I would like to display the premium for each id separately, grouped by year.

Can you help me with this?

  • Hi Anonymous

    Create relationship between two tables

    Then create measures

    premium_table1 = SUM(Table1[premium])

    premium_table2 = SUM(Table2[premium])

    Best Regards

    Hi Anonymous

    Do you have tables as below?

    Then you want to create a bar chart with "id" as X-axis and "year" as "legend" as below, right?

      Dear Maggie,

      thank you for your reply.

      my problem is slightly different:

      Table 1 as you proposed,

      table 2 does't have an id , and only one premium per year

      on the axis should be year and then per year I would like to have the premim of table 2 and all premiums of table 1.

      However right now, the premiums of table 1 are summed up; what I would like to have, is all premiums for one year next to each other. Is there a way to do that?

      Cheers,

      Susanne
