auto select date in slicer based on today date

i saw this on youtube but its done for months. Anyone know how to it for days of the month but at the same time doesn't have '1 day ago' as slicer label? please help. i do not want to use relative filter as it doesnt show the data for the rest of the months.

@parry2k it works. in PBI desktop. but when i publish to teams, it doesnt seem to auto select the new date. is it because its not compatible?

@chrischanjj you can use the same technique and formula

IF ( DateTable[Date] = TODAY(), "Current Date"  and rest of the logic you can take from the video.

@parry2k thanks. is there anyway to change the first dax to show the date instead of "x days ago". Also, i am interested to know how to do the secon dax based on dates. the one that was mentioned as "default selection" measure in the video.

@parry2k i would want to create a slicer that will automatically select current day by default each time i open the dashboard without me manually selecting. i do not want to use a relative filter for dates because i would still want to be able to select other dates to view.

in the later part of the video (06:14), the guy manage to create a slicer which by default will select the current on the slicer. by i would want to do it on a days of the month instead of month on the slicer.

@chrischanjj yes, once you have added the Current Date value as mentioned previously, in DAX measure instead of Current Month you will use Current Date. Are you even trying at your end or just asking the question? Did you add the current date logic as described before?

@parry2k i did try out and change abit on the dax after trial and error. but it didnt automatically select the date.
